Research Scientist
I am a nuclear engineer with a unique background spanning experimental and analytical work in aerospace engineering, computer engineering, and software development. My experience includes conducting supersonic wind - tunnel tests and flow measurements using optical techniques. During my postdoct oral research at the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics at the University of Minnesota under Prof. Daniel D. Joseph, I published papers in Physics of Fluids (2009) and Journal of Fluid Mechanics (2011). After joining KAERI in South Korea, I contributed to the Standard Design Approval (SDA) of SMART, a 100 MWe (330 MWh) reactor, as a member of the Department of Safety Analysis. Now I lead the development team of nuclear power plant simulator, bringing extensive experience in system design and team leadership to this role
